Als Teil seines Netzwerks für 2023 kündigt Icelandair heute sein neuestes Nordamerika-Gateway an: Detroit, Michigan. Saisonale Flüge vom Flughafen Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County (DTW) nach Reykjavík, Island (KEF) beginnen am 18. Mai 2023 mit vier wöchentlichen Nonstop-Flügen bis zum 30. Oktober 2023. Flug 872 startet montags um 8:30 Uhr nach Island. Dienstags, donnerstags und freitags mit einer Boeing 160MAX mit 737 Sitzplätzen. Rückflug 873 verlässt Island um 5:00 Uhr in Richtung Detroit und landet um 6:25 Uhr.
Die Flugzeit von The Motor City nach Island beträgt etwa sechs Stunden, mit Anschlussmöglichkeiten am internationalen Flughafen Keflavík von Icelandair zu mehr als 25 Zielen in Island, Grönland, Großbritannien, Skandinavien und Kontinentaleuropa. Icelandair-Passagiere können auf dem Weg zu ihrem Endziel auch einen Zwischenstopp in Island für bis zu 7 Nächte ohne zusätzliche Flugkosten einlegen.

To celebrate this announcement, Icelandair is offering round-trip fares of $499* to Iceland and selected destinations in Europe for travel from May 18, 2023 – October 30, 2023, when booked by December 4, 2022. During the sale passengers may also choose to travel in Saga Premium class for only $999*. Sale starts today at 12:00 noon.
